People overload!

I spent the morning running errands in town, it's really quite gorgeous outside today!  While I was in town, I stopped at Hobby Lobby and picked up another 3 yards of the black and ivory houndstooth decorator fabric while it was still 30% off as I used all I had up with the last sewing machine cover, and I want to use it for more pillows yet.  I also picked up 2 yards of ivory duck canvas, and 1 yard of black felt.  I think I'm ready to tackle that Jenny Haskins Summer Wine wall hanging I've been wanting to make for our bedroom.  I know I'm weird, most people do it on silk or quilters cotton, I'll be making mine with canvas, felt and velveteen (recycled from our old bedroom curtains).  Today I'm stitching out some test samples to see how it all works together.  If I got the colors right, then I'll place a thread order.

Tomorrow  the gravel is finally being delivered so we can expand the driveway, (so we can finally get the RV out) then in the evening we're going out for pizza with friends, Saturday we're joining a couple of the guys from Jim's office for lunch then some target shooting at the shooting range, and I think next weekend we're going hiking up Mt. Nebo with some of the guys again.  That's more social activity in two weeks than I'm accustomed to in an entire year!  God I'm such a hermit. :)

Next thing you know someone will want me to wear a dress!  Eep!

The AlphaSew walking foot I'd ordered for the Singer 201 arrived yesterday.  It "fits" but it won't work, I mailed it back today.  The presser foot lift doesn't work with the foot attached, and the little black arm that hooks around the bar isn't a good fit, it slips and then the needle hits the foot... good way to knock it out of timing in a hurry!

You may need to remove or move the thread cutter on the presser foot when you use the walking foot. (it's that curled, flat metal thingy)

Heres some pictures of the SS WF on a 201:

Mt. Nebo is the greatest for hiking - have fun, we have been on all the trails and have always enjoyed - bring a bottle of water!

Exactly Yvette! :)

Jenny, thanks for the close ups! See how your black arm is over to the left side of the bar it's on? Mine wouldn't stay there. I'd sew for a few inches and it would slide over to the right by the screw, and then the needle would hit the foot sole. I just sent it back. I'll order the one you use :)

Karen, I asked if we could take the RV up in case I needed a nap... /grin

I think I used to have a dress. I wonder what happened to it.
