A finish!

I always love to type that… doesn’t seem to happen very often!

I simply crosshatched the entire top of this one.  I’m going to do something similar with my Mom’s, but I’ll be using a curvier design which I think she’ll like better.

I’ll also NOT be using Warm and Natural batting on hers!  Gawd how I hate that stuff!  Years ago I bought two rolls of it, (not knowing any better!) and I keep trying to use it on on charity quilts or table runners… but I think that’s the last time I use it for anything other than practice sandwiches.

Without fail, my quilt will come off the frame perfectly square and flat with this batting, but the minute I wash and dry it, the quilt ripples, and I end up having to block my quilt.  I never ever have this happen when I use Quilters Dream.  Maybe my rolls are bad, but I detest this stuff.

I just potted those petunias yesterday, aren’t they glorious?
