So long Viking! Bye bye Pfaff!

Plans call for manufacturing to transition to company’s existing facility in Asia.
You can read the full article here. How very sad… for all those employees and for all the loyal customers of both Pfaff and Viking. Yes I read the article… design and engineering will be staying in Sweden, but Viking and Pfaff sewing machines (along with Singer) will now be produced in China. We all know what that means.
I am so glad to have Bernina sewing machines! I guess that makes them the sole remaining European produced sewing machine?
Comments? How do you think the manufacturing move will effect the quality of the machines, and the customer loyalty?
