What am I going to do with Jim?

Jim and spent yesterday down in Little Rock and we had so much fun!  Our first stop was at the Stitching Post, as I had subscribed to their newsletter and read that Cindy Foose ( I think that’s who it is) will be doing a class there in March, and I wanted to sign up.  Heirloom sewing is something I dearly wish to learn!

I petted a lot of little dresses while we were there.  I’m so proud of myself for not buying any of them!  They were smothered in laces, beautifully smocked, and done in gorgeous silks, satins and batiste.  I did buy a couple of books though!

Jim bought the fabric you see here.  I’m getting a bit worried about him.  I woke up this morning, checked my email, and saw that he’d purchased another Singer 301 on EBay last night!  That makes five!  I can’t tell you how many I’ve talked him out of!

He was fondling… yes fondling… this fabric, so I think it’s all over but the crying now.  He wanted to know how much he needed for a quilt, and what would go with it?  I think I have my first student!

We went to Williams Sonoma, the Pottery Barn, the Fresh Market, and stopped into two little gift shops, one selling gourmet food where we found the most fabulous peanuts!  They’re called “Surf Doggies” and they have a website here.
