Best finds of the year!

I thought I’d share a couple of items I discovered this year that I absolutely love, and I hope you’ll do the same!

1.  The Original e-z-rol Garlic Peeler.  I am crazy about this little gadget!  I grow my own garlic and I use a lot of it in my cooking.  You simply stick a clove of garlic in the tube, roll it around on the counter under your hand, and in a split second, a perfectly peeled clove!

2.  Tide Smart Dry Hangers.  The are absolutely wonderful for hanging up any sweater or shirt to dry.  Big fat chunky shoulders, so no should marks on your clothes.  Forget clothespins!

Last night I soaked a pot of kidney beans in water, and this morning I started a huge pot of chili.  I never much cared for chili until I started playing around with it.  Nowadays, I make a chili that is really wonderful… it’s sweet and smokey and hot all at once!  I used smoked brisket it in, dark ale, dark chocolate, and the flavor is super!

I have the first set of bookmarks done.  These are machine embroidered, free standing lace designs I purchased at OESD a few years ago.  I’ve made this particular bookmark many times, it’s my favorite of the bunch.
