The Old Mill
Monday, October 4, 2010 at 6:12AM This is the first place Jim and I visited on our jaunt down to Little Rock on Saturday. Built in 1933, all the “driftwood”, the mill building, and “driftwood” bridges are built out of concrete. It was really cool, and very scenic! There’s more information about it here.
There were two really cool bridges. Honestly, I had to touch these as I really thought they were wood! This is the first bridge, the smaller of the two.
Apparantly I forgot to take a picture of the second bridge. I thought these stairs were really cool, and the next picture is taken standing inside the mill, directly above the water wheel looking down.
I made chicken cordon bleu with potatos anna and steamed broccoli last night for dinner, it was quite tasty! I started a batch of dough before bed to ferment on the counter overnight, and I’ll be making pizzas tonight for dinner, with grilled italian sausage and portobella mushrooms.
