A little indulgence

I am so wiped out!  Night before last, I only slept for three hours again, but I did get the binding on the baby quilt and it’s washed, dried and ready to go.  Not a great picture, it was so humid outside my camera fogged up!

I took a friend to Little Rock yesterday, where I managed to keep us in a suspended stage of hysterical giggles as I attempted to a) drive in city traffic… my family could fill you with horror stories about my driving… b) do it with a stick shift.  I had Jim leave his car here for me because there’s no way the big dually truck will fit in the narrow traffic lanes of a city… at least not with me behind the wheels!

But I only killed it twice, I think the clutch still works, despite me riding it doggedly all day, and I didn’t kill anyone, woohoo!

First we stopped at Circle C Quiltworks in Pickles Gap.  I found a couple of yards of striped fabrics for bindings, a handful of batik fat quarters, which I’m collecting for that day in the future when I decide to try my hand at an amazing applique pattern I bought,”Serengeti” by Toni Whitney.  Why start small?  LOL

We ate lunch at an Indian restaurant, which I forget the name of.  It was excellent!  I have no idea of what exactly I ate, but I quite enjoyed it!

On to “The Fresh Market” which was quite a treat!  I will definitely be dragging Jim back down there, I made sure to waypoint it in the GPS so I could find my way back again.  I’m going to gain ten pounds from my trip there, I’m sure.  I walked away with some Tiramisu, some chocolate croissants, a crusty loaf of bread, some to DIE for walnut gourmandise cheese, and some cranberry studded cheese of some sort.  Yum!

This morning I’m off to the guild meeting.  I’ll be donating the monkey quilt, and dragging along the lonestar and the baby quilt to show off, then those will be getting mailed out.
