The ugly and the pretty :)

Between weed whacking and two days spent at the longarm finishing up quilts, my foot is dying again. I have a feeling my shopping trip in Little Rock on Friday is going to be rather short!
I finished the blue and brown quilt for my parents. I can’t say I’m very pleased with it at all. I really struggled with what to quilt on this, and my idea did not turn out so well, I’m sorry to say.
I’ll post another picture after I get it bound and washed. My folks are leaving on vacation this weekend, so there’s no hurry to get it to them. It’s likely to get stuffed in a closet anyway!
I also finished a customer quilt this afternoon. It’s a small baby quilt, and she chose my all over Swirls pattern for the quilting. This is a very popular design, and looks great on everything! I used a pale green thread (So Fine!) on top, and blue (Isacord) to match the flannel backing in the bobbin.
Quilters Dream Poly for the batting, it’s my favorite for kid quilts, it washes beautifully and takes a beating.
