A little splurge!

I know most longarm quilters use a ruler for stitch in the ditch work, I do not.  I prefer to sit in my wonderful saddle stool chair and lean over the quilt, using my micro handles and stitching extremely slow.  Probably not the most productive way to do ditch work, but I am much more precise this way.

However!

My ever worsening vision, probably a combination of aging and menopause, was making this nearly impossible.  I can’t seem to focus on anything close than about ten feet away anymore! I was going to make an appointment with the eye doctor, as I haven’t been in about ten years.  Instead, I picked up two pairs of cheap reading glasses for twenty bucks each!  One pair at the “2.0” magnification, for everyday sewing stuff, like seam ripping (ahem!) and one pair with the “2.5” magnification, just for doing detail work on my longarm!

These are way too strong for anything else, as I about fall off my stool if I look up with them on, but they are totally awesome for quilting!
