Friday, September 16, 2011 at 10:15AM I just wanted to keep everyone in the loop on the Raffle Quilt. I know that the drawing was supposed to be yesterday, but the quilt was on display at the fairgrounds and we are waiting for the sponsor to return it to the Mission today… the ticket will be drawn as soon as it arrives!
I apologize for the day’s delay, but I promise the raffle will take place today!
Thank you for patience, and for your generosity.

Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 5:15AM The big day is here! Gather up your ticket stubs so when the winning number is announced you can claim your new quilt!
The quilt is being displayed at the Pope County fairgrounds today, so it’s possible that the Mission won’t get the winning number to me until tonight, so it may be tomorrow when I post it.
I will post it here, on Facebook, and of course you may call the Mission as well at 479-968-8303.
Good luck everyone, and many, many thanks from my community for your generosity!
Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 2:00PM “Shades” of Hope” is now up for raffle at the Main Street Mission. The quilt is 67 x 91 inches, and made of Moda cottons and Hoffman Batiks. The batting is Hobbs 80/20, and it’s quilted with King Tut variegated cotton thread.
The label is machine embroidered with washing instructions, the quilt has been pre-washed to test for dye fastness. ![]()
The binding is machine stitched, front and back. All irregularities add character! In some places (most, really!) it’s perfect…
In others, not so much!
I machine bind all my quilts, but I felt for the sake of disclosure, I should point this out as I know some people think a quilt must be hand bound.
Raffle tickets are $1 a piece, or 6 for $5, 12 for $10, and 25 for $20. All checks should be made out to the Main Street Mission and mailed to ATT: Raffle Quilt, Main Street Mission, 1110 E. 2nd Street, Russellville AR, 72801, or you may also mail a check to me (but please make it out to the Main Street Mission), at Created by CJ, 1315 Old Cove RD, Russellville AR, 72802 and I will deliver it to the mission.
The tickets will be drawn on September 15th, 2011. For those of you who are local, the quilt is on display at the Mission, in the dining hall.
Please consider helping a wonderful cause by purchasing a few tickets! The mission is run mainly by volunteers, and feeds thousands of hungry people. They also supply clothing and household items to those in need.
Thank you and God bless! Please spread the word!

I’ve uploaded a flyer for the Shades of Hope raffle quilt, if you’re local, feel free to print a copy off and help distribute it. Or even if you’re not local!
