Awesomeness

I’m really hung up on the word “awesome” lately… I don’t know why but I’m starting to drive myself crazy, I sound like a thirteen year old! 

But this is truly, totally, utterly awesome!  This sewing machine is called the Leitfaden… and I’m not entirely sure if it’s real, a concept machine, or someone just having fun.

Now it would fit into the trunk of my Miata with no problem at all.  In fact, I think it could even perch in the bucket seat next to me so I could admire it while I’m driving!

I’m after Jim to design (with my input!) and build me the perfect sewing machine.  Why not?  He’s a senior design/mechanical engineer and a master machinist.  I know exactly what I want.  I have a feeling getting a prototype might cost the equivalent of a house or two though… ahem!

All metal… cast preferably, custom paint jobs… plenty of high intensity LED lighting, needle up/down, thread cutter, knee lift, start/stop button (maybe) reverse button, straight stitch only machine.  Picture a Juki/Singer Featherweight mix on steroids.  Sigh….
