Oh dear... I'm in trouble now!

So the plan yesterday was to finish quilting the blue and green quilt after I went to the store and the yarn shop downtown.  Unfortunately, the yarn shop didn’t open until noon yesterday, because on Tuesdays, they host an evening “knit in”.  By the time I left there, my feet were in the clouds and my mind dreamily knitting luxurious socks and gorgeous sweaters!

I didn’t walk out empty handed either.  I bought yarns for socks, and yarns for scarves, and I do believe I’m going to have to do an internet search and see if there are MORE yarn shops anywhere nearby!

Of everything in the store, one yarn in particular had me drooling and petting it… Jojoland Melody, a gorgeous finger-weight variegated wool.  So soft!

I have a yarn swift and a ball winder on order, along with several sizes of Addi knitting needles, and I’m praying that it all comes back to me!  (How to knit, that is).  I did make a fisherman knit afghan for the RV about 5 years ago, but other than that I haven’t done any knitting since I was in my twenties!

I have been working on a crocheted afghan this winter… I hadn’t done any crocheting in years either.  It’s coming along slowly and crocheting really bothers my right hand, but I’ll get it done eventually.

But oh dear… I could barely stand to touch the yarn I’m using on it (Lion’s Brand) after fondling all those fabulous spun wools!

Jim wanted pizza last night, and while I was craving a salad, pizza hit the spot.  We’ll have salads tonight, with smoked ham and hard boiled eggs.

We were supposed to wake up to snow this morning, but there’s nothing on the ground… and supposedly we’re expecting 4 - 8 inches of the fluffy stuff today!
