One more apron

And I think that’ll do me for awhile.  When these get grungy, I’ll make some more.  I have enough fabric left over from both of them to make several pouches, so I just may do that with the scraps rather than chop them up for future scrap quilts.

Williams Sonoma is killing me!  Today only, they have the big 610 Professional KitchenAid stand mixer on sale for $299… that’s quite a bargain!  And they have it in a gorgeous cherry red!

But… there’s nothing wrong with my old one… except the fact that it’s had twenty years of hard use, and I’ve been wondering for the last couple of years how much longer it will last.  You know if I pass up a sale like this, it’ll quit next week and I’ll have to pay $499 to replace it… but if I buy the sale item, it’ll just keep running for another ten years!

Apron

I’ve been buying apron patterns for awhile now, but had yet to make one, until this morning!

Didn’t this turn out cute?  I bought three colorways of fabric last year to make three of these, stuck them in a project box, and promptly forgot about them.

I’m trying to decide if I want to add a pocket or not.  The pattern calls for one, but I never use pockets in my aprons, I wear them simply to save my clothes and to wipe my hands on when I’m covered in flour.

This pattern is by Indygo Junction, “Cook’s Cover-Up IJ733.  I think I will add the pocket, just for a touch of cuteness.

I posted my Tuscan potato soup recipe this morning, as requested.

I went back and added the pocket!
