2nd Toddler Quilt finished

Well except for the binding, and I’ll add it this afternoon after I get back from the podiatrist… who will hopefully be able to discover why I have so much foot pain!
I don’t care for the fabrics/colors in this one nearly as well as the first one I did, but it’s cute enough I guess. I sure hope Jim’s coworker is having a girl, that would sure simplify things!
I have the entire quilt redrafted now, except for the four corner blocks. I’ve yet to
come up with the best way to piece those. I’m trying to eliminate as much seams as possible, but the four corners blocks seem to work out best when left as a 16 patch block… but that’s a lot of tiny pieces!
Karen is going to stop by tomorrow to take a peek at my sewing setup (who doesn’t like to go see someone else’s sewing space? My favorite thing to do!) maybe she’ll have an idea if I can remember to ask her. If anyone could figure it out, it’d be Karen, with all those fabulous Dear Jane blocks she makes!
Between this one and the last one, I have enough leftover backing fabric to use as the white in the next quilt, so that’s the plan. I use wide backings for all my quilts, I don’t like working with seamed backs. Plus, they’re more economical!
I used “Hearts in Bloom” by Timeless Quilting Designs on this quilt. It doesn’t have the “lush” factor that “Splash” gave to the first one, but the colors don’t have much punch either, so it worked out alright.
