A finish

Not my best work, I quilted this slowly over the last few days, but I’ve been rather sick with the stomach flu.  I thought for sure I would wake up feeling fine today finally, but I’m still sick.  Ugh!  Jim and I are supposed to go pick up the Miata this afternoon at four o’clock, which means we’ll need to leave the house around two thirty.

I used the “Harvest Winds” pantograph by Patrici Ritter on this one.  You can see the computer image in my leaves and flowers panto gallery, towards the end of the page.

The top is rather busy and the quilting gets easily lost.  This is a rather dense design.  I chose a variegated King Tut thread in khaki green shades.  Sounds terrible I know, but it blends beautifully.  Or maybe I just thought it did because I feel so awful.

The image over on the right is a hundred percent crop, so you could see both the design and the thread color.

I have my Bernina 630 packed up along with all my pink and green fabrics for the toddler quilt, which I’ve already cut out with my AccuQuilt Studio… on the off chance that I’m going to feel well enough to join my quilting group for an all day sew in.  Not looking likely at the moment!

I’m pretty sure my sewing machine is going to have to be strapped into the passenger seat in the Miata.  The Bernina suitcase for it is very well padded with ample storage space, and I don’t think it’s going to quite fit into the trunk… but here’s hoping!
