The lazy blogger

Yep, that’s me.  I’ve been a bit tired lately, and I’m not doing anything to be tired… in fact I’m sleeping really well finally (thank you HRT!) but my ambition level has been less than spectacular!

I ran across this blog this morning, with a nice review of EQ7 and some of the new features.  Check out what you can do with a photograph!  How totally cool is that?

I also wanted to toss out a little suggestion.  If you have a wonderful quilt shop, or sewing machine dealer that gives you terrific service, why not return the love?  You can send (still time today to arrive for Mother’s Day!) a tower of chocolates from Harry & David (ore even two or three!) to those terrific women and make their day!

I am very grateful for the wonderful service I receive from my dealer, the Quilt Sampler, in Springfield Missouri.  Because they’re so far away, I don’t get to visit very often, but I am always treated wonderfully and I really, really appreciate that.

I’m also laptop hunting.  Having switched to a Mac a couple of years ago, I adore my Mac and have no desire to go back to Windows… but laptops rarely last me more than two years, and I can’t see buying an expensive MacBook for that short of time.  I really just want to be able to play my sewing DVD’s while I work on the longarm, browse the net, check my email and run EQ, and my Bernina embroidery software.  So I don’t think I need anything too fancy.  Sony makes a Vaio (the E series) that appeals to me, because they offer something called “fresh start”, where none of the junk software is installed (another reason I love Mac!).  Plus it comes in white!  But alas, no matte screen.  I do not want a laptop with a glossy screen.
