Off to Little Rock...
Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 5:28AM I think. That was the plan anyway, but I didn’t get much sleep last night and I haven’t decided if I want to go or not. Jim and I thought we’d run down and check out the Big Dam Bridge, and walk a bit of it… only a little! The shortest section is twelve miles long! It’s the longest pedestrian bridge in the world.
I’d also like to visit Villa Marre in the historic Quapaw Quarter… it’s the victorian home where “Designing Women” was filmed, as well as the “Old Mill” in North Little Rock, which is the mill featured in the opening scene in “Gone with the Wind”.
The farmer’s market will also be open on the Riverfront today, and I’ve love to stop at the Fresh Market for some almond croissants, they are even better than the chocolate ones!
Of course Jim will be driving and I could sleep on the way there and back… but that would be rather rude! I’d love to take him to that wonderful Mexican restaurant my friend Candy and I discovered for lunch, yum!
I posted my recipe for “Cajun Salmon in Cream Sauce” over in the recipe section, but in order to make it you have to order the spice that I use, I provided a link. Trust me on this, you will love this blend!
I did load up a practice sandwich and played with the Filtec Magna Glide bobbins yesterday, wow! I’m sold. They are just amazing. My Millennium already gave me excellent tension, but these make it simply outstanding, from the start of the bobbin to the end, with the magnetic core, there is zero backlash to be seen.
