Will the longarm fit in the RV?  LOL

I had set my deadline for quilts at December 15th this year, to be done so I could have time to enjoy the holidays with Jim.  He normally takes off the last two weeks of December and the first week of January. I’m not sure how much time he’s going to be able to take off this year, but either way my plans had to change, as I guess we are now headed to New Orleans for a week next weekend with the RV.

We’ll be leaving it down there and coming home for the holidays, then back up in January.  So I have to finish everything this week!  Jim’s new bathrobe is next on my list.  I found the most gorgeous chocolate brown marbled fleece for it.

Yesterday, I got my garlic planted finally, and knocked out a customer quilt.  This one has large blocks with hand cross stitched stars in them.  I had recommended it to be custom quilted, but the customer wanted a pantograph on it, and it turned out quite nice!

The panto used on this quilt is “Fay Feathers” by Lorien Quilting.

I tried a new recipe yesterday, Cranberry Pumpkin bread.  It’s good, but needs work.  The pumpkin part isn’t spicy enough, the cranberries are too tart, and that was after I already doubled most of the spices and added more sugar, vanilla, salt, nuts… and well you get the picture.  By the time I’m done, it doesn’t much resemble the original recipe.

I have to let the flavors roll around on my tongue some more today.  The joys of being the chef eh?  I think this would be much better made with dried cranberries, soaked in port wine, and I think I will try it again that way. If I perfect it, I’ll share!

Meanwhile, I think I need to make some chocolate date bread, yum yum!
