Thank you Bernina!
Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 4:41AM Yesterday the FexEx guy dropped off a box from DirecTV to ship our satellite receiver back in. He said he’d delivered TEN other empty boxes from them yesterday alone! Apparantly we aren’t alone in giving up our satellite. That’s a lot of disconnects in one area on one day!
I have a new love in my life. Sonic’s caramel mocha java chillers… yum! When I close my eyes, I can almost pretend it’s Tiramisu, my absolute favorite dessert! Jim and I ran out after dinner last night so I could have one… I was in need after all that quilting yesterday!
Bernina’s latest firmware patch for the 8 Series machines has been posted online. There are two features in this update that I am over the moon about!
The first one, at my request, was the ability to save altered pressure foot settings to the personal program. There are certain things I always do the same way, with the same settings, such as piecing a quilt. I decrease my stitch length to 2.0 millimeters, I move my needle position to the right, and I reduce my pressure foot pressure to 35. Now, with this firmware update, the pressure foot pressure can be saved along with the other settings!
The other feature, much requested by everyone, is the ability to turn off automatic stitch tie ons. We could do this before, but had to remember to change it in the setup menu each time the machine was powered on. Now, the feature will remain deactived, and you will get a warning screen when powering up the machine, or switching to the sewing side from the embroidery side.
Thank you Bernina, Boris and team, for all your efforts!
