Cry Baby

Thanks everyone for the border tips on the Pirate Monkey Quilt.  I’m still not quite happy with the look, so I think I’m going to let it rest a day and see if my brain rejuvenates itself.

I’ve been hobbling around for a couple of months with plantar fasciitis and a pinched nerve, hoping that the foot excercises, anti-infammatory drugs and orthodic shoe inserts would fix me up, because my other choice is surgery, but yesterday evening I was reading and the phone rang, and I got up to answer it without slipping my shoes on first, came down flat on my foot, and it sure felt like something snapped free.  Hot pain, aching all night, and I can’t put my weight on it much.  No swelling though.

Jim has the car in New Orleans, so if I call and can get my appointment bumped up, that means I’ll have to park across the street since the truck won’t fit into the parking lot.  I don’t know if I can hobble that far!  I tried using an old cane Jim has, but it’s my left foot which means holding the cane with my left hand, and after about a minute of that I was pretty sure I’d kill myself.  LOL

But worse yet, it means there’s no way I can get around the yard to do all the watering, everything is going to die on me!  Aaaagghhh!  Who said getting old was fun?
