What a cute quilt!

I finished quilting this one a couple of days ago.  It’s a customer’s quilt, and I think it is so adorable!  The fabric line she used is called “Baby Geniuses” by Linda Carlson Fabrics.  I love black, and never would have thought of combining it with bright primary colors for a child, but I absolutely love this!

I am going to have to look for some black and white polka dot fabric for my stash!

I made Jim a batch of cinnamon nut rolls on Sunday, only for him to find out that he had to be out of town for work again this week at the last minute, so guess what I’ve been gorging on this week? Woe is me right?  LOL

I have another customer quilt to try and finish up today, and then I plan to start on my next comfort quilt.  Thanks for the new word ladies, I like the word comfort much better than charity!

One of the comments on my last post suggested that so much black wasn’t a good idea for an ill teen.  We all know I adore black, but after thinking about it, she’s right.  And the quilt in my previous post… well it just needs to be black!  So I’m back to the drawing board working another design.  I need to make a couple sample blocks, but right now I’ve designed a more traditional pattern, using  white (or beige), a medium green and a medium blue.  I’ll post pictures in a couple of days, and see what everyone thinks of the design and colors for a teen boy.
