Help me think!
Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 1:19PM Yeah, I need all the help I can get!
Here’s my thought. Cutting all the strips for my log cabin quilt was very easy with the AccuQuilt. However, being the lazy soul that I am, I’d like to make it even easier, because I can see right now I’ll be making more log cabin quilts!
I’ve send AccuQuilt a request for a custom die quote with the following diagram:
I don’t need the center 2.5 inch block, I already have one of those. Each strip would be an individual die. My question is, how much of a time saver do you think this would be, and how much accuracy would it add to the blocks, versus doing it the traditional way of sewing on a strip and cutting it to size?
These would make eight inch completed blocks, just like I’m doing now. I don’t care for the larger strip log cabin blocks.
Just for fun, I wanted to share how I’ve got all my strips sorted, keeps them neat and organized!
These are silverware bins from Walmart, made out of bamboo. They work great!
