Things that shouldn't occur in January...

My blueberries are budding out.

My Helebores are in full bloom.

My Vinca vines are blooming.

I know it’s February 2nd now, but these have all been blooming since the middle of January.  My elderberries are leafed out!

My narcissus has all bloomed, my hyacinths are up, my heavenly bamboo is flowering like mad, and my azaleas are starting to bloom here in East Texas... strange goings-on indeed!

We've had 5 separate rain storms in January and THAT is extremely unusual for Vermont!! We still haven't had any real snow to speak of. It's like we're still waiting for winter!
