Boxy Stars done!

Well except for the binding!  I love the way this one turned out!  Since I had decided to keep this one for my studio prior to quilting it, I used wool batting (Quilters Dream).  It’s rare that a quilt stays here at our house, but those that do, always have wool batting, it’s my absolute favorite.

I don’t know how well you can see those, the light in our living room is terrible unless I rig up the stand beneath the recessed lighting, but I’ve gotten rather tired of doing that and may never have a decent quilt photo again!

The panto is called “Tropical” by Anne Bright, and I used Isacord thread.

Pretty! I haven't used the wool by Quilters Dream - does it shrink up a little bit to give a crinkly look?

Oh I love this! The flowing, floral quilting design really compliments the geometric block pattern. Brava!

Love that panto! And it was perfect for the quilt. I am in love with the wool batting too, it just quilts up beautifully.

Beautiful. I really like the way the texture shows up using the wool batting. Love the backing fabric too.

The lighting really is fine. Your very colorful quilt is beautiful. Great choice of panto design...makes the quilt 'sing'. I do love the colors of the Bali Pops and love them even more when the strips are cut evenly. I've not used wool batting yet. How does it react to machine washing and drying? Is that possible with wool batting?

That's fantastic!!!! I'm trying to come up with a pattern for my wedding quilt and this is up for consideration. I'm glad you're keeping this one for yourself.

CJ, What is the time savings from load to unload since using IQ?

Beautiful! Love the texture.
I have 3 queen size wool batts on the way from connecting threads at 30% off sale. I have two quilts for 2 of my sons to do with the wool. Love the turpunto effect it gives.

Does anyone know how the wool batting needles for hand quilting?

I think you made an excellent choice in purchasing the IQ. Your quilts were stunning before, but I think the computers can do so much more than we can (I have the PC Quilter that I call "The Groaner") when it comes to those "intensive" designs.

It's been a while since I have checked in on your blog. Love this beautiful quilt. The IQ quilting gives it so much dimension. Of course, I love anything that has lots of blues.

I think that this is one of the most beautiful quilts I have ever seen. What a wonderful job you did!

I too, love your quilt. It is stunning.

I have used the Quilter's Dream Wool batt too, and, I also love it. It is on our bed, and, in the summer, was all we needed along with the bed spread for here in the PNW. This winter, I had to add another blanket to be warm enough.

Beautiful quilt!! What's the name of the pattern you used? I need a throw for my couch and I think this might be the winner.
