Off with the quilt gloves...
Monday, September 5, 2011 at 1:14PM On with the hardhat!
Here in the Ozarks, we have been given the gift of fall for a week! Yes, I know it’s only on loan, the heat will be back soon, but even the geese took notice and I saw a huge flock pass overhead, on their way south! I was gratified to see that our geese showed no inclination to take flight and tag along!
So for the next week, I’m closing the door to my sewing room, and I’m tackling the first step into getting that studio built.

Why did the geese fly south for the winter? Cuz it's too far to walk.
Sorry, I can't help myself.
How exciting for you. Hard hat hair is the best when it's for something you really, really want. :) Enjoy your fall days.
So what was the latest in your plans for the studio? I may have missed what you finally decided because of the hurricane--we were without power for 5 days (no water either-we"re on a well). As someone with bad knees & a bad back I think you would do well to minimize the up & down. I"ll be anxiously awaiting your progress. Pictures please. Hope the fall weather continues--it's my favorite season. Diane in CT
Yes, yes, YES!! We all want to watch your new studio go up!!
CJ - I just came across something that may be of interest to you. It is a part of Koala's website devoted to planning a studio space. Even if you use sewing and storage furniture other than the Koala brand, their planning tools may be helpful in designing your layout. Here is the url:
http://www.mykoalastudio.com/
If you click on 'win a koala studio' over on the right, it takes you to a page where they have some kind of planning software too.

I am perched here with a ring side seat. I'll be watching for the first installment of the studio build.

I like the design of your blog very much. It looks like a page from fairy tale. I’m really impressed!
