Serger Cover Done!
Monday, September 26, 2011 at 3:27PM I just love this one, and I can’t wait to redo the cover for my Bernina 830. I really like the crosshatching on the side panels here, and I think I will do the same on the gusset section for the 830 cover.
The red bows do not really glare out at you like they appear to in this photo, the flash from my camera caught them just right and make them all shiny, like beady critter eyes!
I think I will be able to process the photos and finish up the tutorial tomorrow. At least that is the plan! I haven’t tried this on my Babylock BLCS cover machine yet, it would be nice if the same pattern fit both! This was sewn on my 830, just a joy to use!
Yay! At long last my serger has a dress!

Love the cover and can't wait to see the tutorial. How will we be able to access it?
Wonderful, CJ. Just love it. Question: Do you take out the long metal rod (that hold your threads) and take off the cross metal section when you put your cover on? Just curious. When I made my first cover, years ago, I made it so as to be able to keep everything intact in place but plan on revising a new cover.
great cover. Aren't we glad we invested in the 830? It's such a dream to use. I'm in the middle of making fitted slipcovers for my couch and some other furniture. Sewing through all those layers is a breeze. I have never
enjoyed making things like I do now. Before, quilts were it, now anything goes. I do need to make a cover for my serger, still have the plastic one that comes w/it. Now that's the machine I'd like to get good at. I use mine for seams and that's about it.
CJ, thanks for taking the time to create this wonderful serger cover! It's so fantastic. Can't wait to get started!
Excellent! Your serger is posing like a true model... front view, profile!
Thank iyou, thank you!
And even a greater thank you for pictures!
