Sock Monkeys!

I quilted this adorable sock monkey quilt for a customer yesterday.  I thought it was so cool that my customer and her daughter whipped it up together over the weekend!

They brought it over, along with the cutest little towheaded boy, who patted one of our baby rabbits on the head while saying, “baby”!  LOL

The back is pieced in quarter sections.

I used Hobbs 80/20 batting, Superior Threads Omni on the top, So Fine in the bobbin, and the pantograph is “Monkey Business” by Patricia Ritter.

I’m a sock monkey fanatic… actually I love any kind of monkey.  I had a sock monkey named “Jocko” when I was a little girl, and I still remember him fondly!

CJ, that is so cool! I'm loving the monkey panto for that quilt!

Question about your monkey pirate quilt: Did you do your designs in your 830 jumbo hoop? Would the designs fit in the large oval hoop? I've got the Bernina 730. Or could they be done in the mega-hoop?
I'm getting ready to do the monkey pirate pals quilt and the counting book both featured in Sew Beautiful magazine # 136. I just noticed the designs are sized for a hoop 5.5 X 8. The 8 is fine but the oval hoop is only 5.25 wide. Do you think I can squeeze them in?

I like your pirate quilt better, but this one is smaller and I might finish it before the little boy is 18!!

Thanks,
