Latest customer quilt... loving this one!
Sunday, July 3, 2011 at 8:55PM Most of you know I only do pantographs/edge to edge quilting for hire. Sometimes people bring me quilts that beg for custom quilting, and it’s my job to make their quilt shine with the limitations of pantograph quilting.
This one I stared at for a couple of days while working on another quilt, I just couldn’t see past cross hatching in the snowflake blocks and something swirly in the borders. The quilt top was rather austere looking, and I wanted to brighten it up and make it dance a little!
Nailed! I love the way this one turned out! The pantograph is “Feathered Frond” by Jodi Beamish, and the swirling effect of it reminded me of a blustery wind, making the snowflakes dance.
The motifs on this quilt were hand stitched so beautifully! I really, really love this quilt, I might have to consider copying it and making one for myself!

Love that quilt! Also love the panto. I used it on a wintery quilt too and wanted a blustery snow blown look on it. And it turned out great! But then again I really, really like almost all the pantos by Jodi Beamish
Very good CJ. I enlarged one of the photos and the quilting does give that swirling wind effect for the snowflakes. I think the owner will really, really like what you did with it.
Oh man, I really like this quilt too. You know me and my seasonal decorating. lol
It is beautiful !!! Great job.
CJ, the quilting is perfect! Good job! Happy 4th!
Nailed is right, CJ! I absolutely LOVE it! I've been trying to decide how to quilt my Winter Wonderland - panto - or struggle with doing something custom (I can't even draw stick figures!) - this is right up my alley! Happy Fourth of July to you and Jim!
Cheers!
Awesome !
Beautiful!
