Design wall Monday
Monday, June 27, 2011 at 4:43AM I had hoped to finish this top yesterday, but there was no time to work on it at all, so I still have one final white border to go on it… although I still want to play with it in EQ and see how it would look with a larger outer white border with appliqué on it.
Same as the last one, different colors. I’m having fun with this quilt! I have a selection of blue fabrics laid out on my floor ready to cut for yet another one of these.
I still haven’t got my last elephant block done, so no designing of that quilt has begun yet.
Jim whacked a rabbit yesterday, so grilled rabbit was on last night’s menu, pretty tasty! I bottled five quarts of blackberry juice as well, when it’s cooler out I’ll make jelly or wine out of it.
I don’t know if I’ll get any sewing done today or not… after I spend half the day watering in this heat, I may be too tired!
Head over to Judy’s and see what everyone else is up to this Monday!

Love your quilt. Care to share the directions?
It's a Moda Bakeshop pattern Pat, here you go:

I really like the block border; I'll be very interested to see how you decide to finish this one off! Happy Monday! :)
like the quilt - I can't seem to make more than one quilt from a pattern most times though, I get tired of it quickly.
You sure got a lot of blackberry's!! lucky you. Bet it was hot picking them though.

Love your quilt, I have that pattern printed off. Try to stay cool and your blackberry juice looks yummy!
I love this quilt, I made one similar to this in a block exchange. I may need to make it again!!
Very soft, pretty quilt.
I have all the fabric to make that quilt....just haven't gotten to it yet.
That rabbit looks soooo yummy!
LOVE whacked rabbit... tame. The wild is a little to gamey for me and I get to thinking a diseases and such and I couldn't swallow with a gun to my head. Our neighbors in MO grew rabbits, so we had one occasionally.
Our blackberries are red, so it won't be long. July is usually our berry season. You must be just far enough south to be in another temp zone. We stayed really cool longer than usual this spring.
Love your quilt colors in the batiks. Have fun with border!

Pretty 9 patches!
Thank you CJ!
