Next in line

I had so much fun with the last nine patch I’m getting ready to start another one!  I sorted through all my batik strips, and cut a few more.  I have a huge pile of blues, so I will definitely be sorting those out and planning a blue one, but the upcoming one is going to be in purples and greens.

I’m going to do this one on a white on cream background, instead of solid white.  I have a lot of (fern leaf print) leftover from quilt backs, as it’s one of the 108 inch wide backing fabrics I use.

I’m hoping for a little more formal look to this one, and will probably use a more traditional feather pattern for the quilting… but most likely I’ll be using some more wild thread!

Probably one of these, but I won’t know until the top is done and I can drape some thread over it.

I have two more elephant blocks done!  Gaaawwwwd they’re cute!

I have to redo the upper left one… I forgot to put in the fabric appliqué for his tusks!

Those elephants are so darn cute... Where are the designs from? Can't help but smile when looking at them.

Just read your earlier post and now have the name of the designs and the designer. I am off to see if they are still available.

Those elephants sure are adorable. Like the colors of your new quilt.

I still can't figure out how your getting the applique fabric behind the embroidery. Must be a brain freeze.
