About that binding tool...

I am about halfway through hand stitching the binding to the back of the log cabin quilt.  I did apply it to the front on the longarm.

I’m not sure what I think about this.  I think I could have applied it via my sewing machine just as fast if not faster, but it was definitely more convenient to do it this way.  I also forgot to put my ruler base on until about halfway through… that made it easier, duh!

I’ve begun quilting the Nine Patch, and I’ll apply the binding for it via the longarm as well, and maybe I’ll have a better idea if I want to do it that way from now on or stick to my sewing machine.

I chose the “Agave” design for the quilting, and I’m loving the way this one looks, even more than the log cabin! This is a nice, feathery pattern in the lesser expensive price range, as it’s fairly open and easy to do.

I wish my Millennium liked King Tut thread better, I so love the way it looks but it’s a royal pain to work with on this machine.  My HQ16 loved it, but then it hated So Fine and my Milly loves it so… go figure.

I picked a colander full of blackberries this morning, cobbler and ice cream tonight!

Love the feather-y design --- can't wait to see it in person !

Have you ever tried the big cones of thread from Connecting Threads? My Innova loves it and hardly ever have a break. You sure can't beat the price either. Just not a lot of colors to choose from. 70 weight poly.

Pretty quilt! I was wondering if I should get that ruler or the line tamer. I'd be interested in your over all opinion.

You are ahead of me by two about two weeks on the blackberries. I really like that Agave quilt pattern!!

I really like that design too!!

I have another top for you. The problem is, I have to buy fabric for a backing. :(

Isn't if funny how machines like some threads and not others. So far [going on 3 yrs. now] my Gammill Premier hasn't had any complaints about any thread I've tried on it. I'm cheap, so mostly I use Maxi-Lock on it anymore.

We're just coming to the end of our strawberries for this season. That meant strawberries 'n ice cream, strawberry shortcake, strawberry dessert, etc. I made the mistake of stepping on the scale & found i gained 5 lbs. Gotta do something about that.
