And then there were two!

Yep, I finished the nine patch quilt today, after dropping my Schnauzer off at the groomer, (don’t know how much longer he’s going to be able to tolerate that, he’s thirteen and going downhill fast this year) I went to the guild meeting and afterwards finished the last border!

So now I have two tops ready to be quilted, what fun!  I’ve had very little personal sewing time this year, so I’m going to enjoy it!

The second photo shows my chosen thread.  I was originally planning to use a pale green, similar to the green in the solid border, but then I was also planning a traditional Baptist Fan for the quilting as I was finishing up the border this morning.  When I took it downstairs and draped it over the longarm, I started opening thread drawers and this one just grabbed me!  Of course it’s totally inappropriate for Baptist Fans, being kind of “harloty” looking don’t you think?  (insert evil grin here)!

So I need a different quilt design.  It’s going to be one of these, I think they’ll work well with the batik fabrics.  Opinions? Or do you think I should stick with the nice sedate green and the Baptist Fan idea?

Oh, I like the thread! And don't think all Baptists are sedate! I do like the panogram you showed though.

Boy, I like that quilt! I wish I could or would piece as fast as you do, CJ! Definitely the "harloty" thread--no sedateness, please ;-)
And I like the panto on the left...or the one on the right. I've never really been a fan of the Baptist Fan :D but it's not bad either.
Happy quilting!!

I was going to say, stick with the Baptist Fans and the pale green thread, but I love the varigated. What the heck, if you got it flaunt it! Oh, and my fav is the first panto.

Love the BF but the batiks are calling for something kicky. Go with your panto and varigated thread.

Cute quilt!

Cute quilt! I like the harlot thread, but would use the left panto...things are going to get busy!
