Star in the making!

Ha! How’s that for ambitious?

Remember this quilt?  The one I should be working on?

I did get another border pieced.  A long one at that!  They take forever, since the strips are only a half inch… one day I will get this done!

But meanwhile, I couldn’t resist starting on the new quilt I designed.

The center lone star portion is done.  Of course, if the borders for the quilt above have me dragging my feet with all the little pieces, what do you suppose is going to happen with this one? !!!

I need to get a move on though, I plan to custom quilt this one and enter it into the fair.  Of course I planned to do one last year too and we know how that didn’t happen!

OMG…. having just posted this photo and seeing my earlier blog post below with my digital design… I realize I’ve used the wrong background fabric!!!

Good grief.

It looks great, must have been meant to use that one. There are no accidents or coincidences. You certainly go fast once you start. Diane in CT

So it was meant to be THAT fabric LOL How did the squaring of the background triangles do for you ? They look good from here !
I worked outside and inside again today, still have that binding to sew. AND the other bright star is ready to be picked up .. so another binding to do. Now, what did I do with that fabric ... hmmmmm...

I like the colors -- nice! Better get to work this summer if you are entering in the fair :) we will have so much hot weather that you will be finished with outside stuff soon and ready to be in the A/C all afternoon.

I think your background fabric looks great. I can't wait to see the borders. And Karen is right--it sure is getting warm. It seems like it went from winter to summer again.
