Oh dear...
Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 1:31PM What a perfect day to take a break… it’s cool, chilly, and I thought I’d spend the day working on the crazy log cabin.
But I opened EQ up… and well… four hours later I’m still playing! Good grief!
This started out as a small, miniature table topper, all in blacks and creams, for our living room. I couldn’t quite get it right with the fabrics in my stash, and so a good hour or two was devoted to pulling various fabrics, playing with them… then I started adding embroidery…
The day has disappeared, my original “quick” idea has changed beyond recognition, but I kind of like this! No embroidery, no applique, it’s all pieced, and ended up being 58 inches square.
This might be next on my list!

the day has been flying by for me too - all of a sudden while playing with fabric, sewing machine and the computer - almost all at one time - I realized I had a hair cut at 1 and had 25 minutes to get there - I ran out of the house and hit the gravel driveway and realized I had my slippers on!! LOL, delayed a couple more minutes by unlocking door and running back in the house to get my sandals -- time flies when you are busy :) now I'm back in front of the computer before I get back to sewing!
cute design you are making.

Wow, that is so pretty! I like the colors!---but you've hit the nail on the head as to the reason I don't use EQ. Time.
I can agree with you there -- love the borders you added and the corner blocks are cool too :D A 1" float border of your background could give you a more definite pop in the star points -- just thinkin .... now you make me wanna go in my sewing room and sew another one ! LOL
I like it! Time well spent.
Yay another project! Those borders are cool but look hard to do! So many little pieces.
C.J. You are amazing! I just love your new design! Wow..and you can COOK, too...grin...
I really like this pattern. Time sure flies when your messing around with EQ, doesn't it?
This is gorgeous! I love EQ!
I love the pattern! Love it!
Wonderful that you enjoyed your time creating.
The backlight inverter in my laptop screen died 2 weeks ago. Finally it is time to replace the laptop (I currently have it connected to an old desktop monitor--grin). I've been spending a lot of time on the computer site you like, deciding on the components to make my own Sager since a few components have been changed since we last spoke.....just have not made that phone call to cement the purchase (gulp! LOL). Thank you again for all your assistance.

That's an awesome design you created. Was it difficult to create? I'm still learning to use my EQ7
Thanks everyone! Parm no not really. I'll always be still learning to use EQ :). Best thing to do is just play... when there's something you want to do and can't figure it out... time to crack open the awesome online manual!
That is gorgeous... Don't change a thing. Can't wait to see it made.
I swear I check your blog every day and how did this escape me??? All I can say is, WOW!!! What an incredible design. LOVE IT! :-) So are you stitching on it as I type? (or is it keyboard???)
