APQS Rocks!

It goes without saying that I love my APQS Millennium longarm, it is an absolute dream to work with. Today, I decided to do spring cleaning/annual maintenance on it. I took off all the covers to check and clean everything under the hood. Under the front cover, I noticed a cable with a separation I hadn’t noticed before.

I took a photo and emailed it to the support team at APQS.  In just a few mintues, I had an answer… it was supposed to be that way!  Sweet!

I finished cleaning the inside and put the covers back on.  My thread cutter had recently stopped working, it was next on my list.  I emailed Dawn at APQS back, explained that the thread puller arm wasn’t reaching the cutting blades, and within thirty minutes, I had a fully detailed Word document, wonderful photos included, on how to make the repair.  Back in business in no time at all!

I sure would love to see domestic sewing machine dealers go this route.  It is such a pain and so inconvenient to have to take a machine in for servicing.  Thank you APQS!

A lot fo people aren't comfortable working on their own machines. That's one of the big issues people have when they go from a home machine to a pro machine, whether sewing or quilting or embroidery. The pro machines are all designed to be user-maintained, and they generally give you the service manuals for free! I'm with you at wanting to service my machines myself.

I've been an APQS owner since 1998 and they have always been that way. They're always so helpful and efficient. There are a whole lot of businesses out there who could take lessons from APQS.

I agree, I wish domestic sewing machines were easy to work on. My Janome has a rattle in the bobbin area. I would love to tear into it, but am afraid that I will mess it up and void any kind of warranties I may have.
