Still coming down

We have at least eight inches of snow now!  Arkansas broke their record today for the most snowfall ever in one day!  I think somewhere up in the northwest corner they’ve had two feet today!

Jim’s out plowing the driveway now.  We don’t have a snow plow per say, not living in snow country, but he can do an adequate job with the box blade and the front end loader… beats shoveling!

Our poor Schnauzer… the snow is up to his shoulders.  LOL  He does NOT like getting wet!

I finally went out to the shop after Jim plowed the driveway to get my boots, and walked down to the end of the driveway to get a picture of the house with all the snow… we may never see this again!

Jim’s headed over to plow the neighbor’s drive now.

The house looks beautiful covered in snow. Jim on the tractor made me laugh because that is exactly what my husband would be doing. He put the box blade on and chains on the tires to be ready but we haven't had any snow yet. I think he is very disappointed. I, on the other hand, am not!

Your house looks beautiful in her new white dress. I can see a small quilt hanging made from this scene. Enjoy!

in 1988 we had 18 inches of snow here CJ - before your time! sure don't get it often. March 4 & 8 of 2008 up here on our ridge we had 12 inches one day and 4 inches just a couple days later - maybe you guys down in the town didn't have it? Boy blogs come in handy to go back and look things up :) of course didn't have one in 88 but remember it.
It sure is pretty isn't it - glad it won't last long though!

Al Gore is so unhappy!! :-) But who cares about Al? Not me. But I'm so happy for you! Isn't it amazing how a snowy day makes everything wonderful? So much better than dark, dreary winter days.

I was looking at your house, but Gene wanted to see the tractor... he's a heavy equipment operator. I think your house is lovely in the snow.

Amazing how beautiful is with snow, yet it can also be a pain to deal with. I hope you and your family remain safe, warm, and have a kitchen and sewing room fully stocked to get you thru till better weather. And, may Spring arrive very soon!

We ended up with 14 inches of snow yesterday. It was crazy! I've never seen it come down like that before.

Boy, I sure wish Jim would blade my driveway. I'm glad we are not having school tomorrow. I probably wouldn't make it out of my drive way.

CJ, Fortunately we are not getting this snow. It's going out to sea. We've already had over 80 inches this winter. Enough! And I'm a person who loves the snow. I've had cabin fever since just after Christmas. The jet stream was dumping snow every 3rd or 4th day. Then freezing rain in between. It's so nice to finally see the sun. They're talking temperatures in the 40's next week. Yippee! Diane in CT
