Comfort quilt done...
Friday, February 11, 2011 at 12:13PM Except for the binding. I’ll get it cut and sewn on next week, as Jim will be out of town from Sunday on.
I used Quilters Dream Blend for the batting, King Tut thread on top, and Isacord in the bobbin, to match the backing fabrics, which is the blue Moda Marble used on the front.
I haven’t decided yet if this is going to the Arkansas Children’s hospital in Little Rock, or the Teen Challenge group here in Russellville.
Now I’m going to go knit some more!

the quilt turned out pretty - I couldn't get the pictures in enlarge when I tried to open them - problem on my end? what I saw looked great though.
My driveway is still snow and ice - so glad the sun is shining.

Beautiful! It will bring wonderful comfort to a very lucky soul! :-)
The quilting really makes it beautiful!
Stunning as always!!
Did I miss your posting of the peacock?
I saw it on Bernina blog. It is fabulous!!!
What a beautiful quilt. I'm in the quilt guild in Benton and we make lots of what we call "children's quilts" to give away. Many of them are bigger quilts that go to the women's shelter there. Women who have had to leave their homes for whatever reason seldom get to take much with them. They are so appreciative that it makes us want to make more! blessings, marlene
