Mantle decor

Not the best, I’m kind of winging it here, since all my decorations are of a different style, and the pickin’s are slim around here, but it doesn’t look too bad.

A more ambitious person would have replace the painting and the oil lamps, but I tend towards being a bit of a Scrooge when it comes to holiday decorations.  I am enjoying this more than usual though, it’s been years and years since I indulged in my more feminine tastes, they don’t work well on a farm or with dogs in the house… could be they may win the upper hand again!  Poor Jim.  He may don his bathrobe one morning only to find I’ve sewn lace to it!

Shouldn't there be 2 stockings? Or does Santa bring your gifts in something much bigger? Very nice. Diane

I think everything you have done so far in your decorating endeavors is perfect! It's light and winter like!

Oh CJ, that is so pretty! I too tend to go more simplistic in Xmas decorating. Either because that is just my style or I am just lazy, I have no idea! LOL!

You have fabric - right??? LOL
cut a couple strips with pinking shears, tie bows around the lamps and voila - they're Christmas decorations
