Never mind!

I did my first test sew out of the feather appliqués yesterday.  While I do like it, enough that I may have to revisit this idea later on, I’ve decided not only am I not making this for my Mystery Quilt medallion block… I’m not going to the program at all.

I’ve had my head wrapped around it for a month now, still can’t decide, and realized last night I simply don’t have the time to spare for it.

I’ve laid out some goals for next year, and I’ll be pushing the limit as it is to meet them.

Back on track!

Jim and I had a lovely breakfast this morning of buttermilk pecan waffles, smothered in cherry jam.  Yum!

Being flexible and realistic are admirable qualities. I really must practice these (a bit/lot) more often! LOL!

so you are quitting the once a month night group? I find that I miss that one more than I go to it!! I'm not good at getting out at night especially when it gets dark earlier and earlier I tend to want to settle in and relax. I am not making this quilt that the group is making, I have too many of my own things going on!! What are your goals this year that you are going to be so busy for?

Smart. I confess that's why I don't join a quilt guild--I don't have enough time to work on the projects I want to do as it is.

I really like the idea of a center block and adding a lot of borders but, I have found that I don't do well under deadlines. I just want to do what I want when I want. lol

I am going to do Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt. But, I can print it out and take as long as I want.

Your comments are encouraging. I have so many ideas and can easily get trapped into someone elses projects. My time is precious with a full time job and family. It is nice to hear that others are setting goals to keep their own projects on track. Not saying that I'm giving up my Sew Fun group and Quilt Show next week. I will always need some ideas to inspire and bring to the home front. Please keep sharing your projects CJ. You are an inspiration!

I've already set some serious goals for my sewing room next year. The first being to sew for CINDY !!!! I need a robe that fits, vests that fit, I'd like some fun stuff that fits. Do you see a pattern here? Things that fit - that's my goal !!!
And as far as other goals made for next year at this point? Find more "Sew Cindy" time. These past several months I truly concentrated on losing that 65 pounds, did it, maintaining it with no problem. NOW - I can spend more quality time for sewing.
