Sadly, it's going back

The beautiful, gorgeous Cabernet Featherweight.  The seller had me try a few things to see if the motor would sound better, but alas it didn’t happen so I’ve decided to return it.

I have to say that the seller was extremely professional and very apologetic about it.  I think perhaps I feel as bad as he does!  She’s a beautiful machine, and it’s very obvious that a lot of time was spent restoring her, but sometimes these things happen.

I know these machines are easy to fix and keep running, which is a large part of the reason why I want one, but I also want one that arrives on my door in perfect shape and we’re in an instant love affair!  Who wants  to start off a long term relationship on a bad note?  Not me.

Back to the drawing board.  I got to fondle one for a few days, anyway. :)

I think you made the right decision CJ. There are other Featherweight beauties out there and you will find one :-)

Smart move. Something just as beautiful that's perfect will come up, and you'll love it forever.

smart move - it is possible that the motor needs to be replaced or maybe seeing as he did the restoration it will be an easy fix for him to fix it!

Sorry, CJ. I know you loved the color and want one of these sweet babies.

Sorry that this one didn't work out but there will be plenty of other opportunities to find that perfect machine.

Sorry it didn't work out. It was pretty, but you do want it to work. Did you get snow today? The weather said that your region was getting some snow. It was in the 60's here in Ct today. Making up for all the snow we got last month--our chimney & roof have been repaired, but there is still a lot of trees & branches to move. Here's hoping your next machine is a keeper. Diane in CT
