Pie for breafast... bad karma
Monday, November 28, 2011 at 5:22AM Of course I know that having a huge piece of pumpkin pie for breakfast is BAD… but my fridge is about to explode and I needed to make room! (Yep, I can justify anything). Smothering it with whip cream? At five o’clock in the morning?
Sure to bring ill winds of fate blowing my way! I removed the precariously balanced pie plate from the fridge with one hand, grabbed the can of whipping cream with the other, and naturally my innate grace (ha!) came into play… the whip cream slipped, I managed to grab it by the plastic cap, which cut my hand and came off anyway… and squirted whip cream all over my face and hair.
This after only ONE cup of coffee?
Hello Monday!

Must be sort of like having vanilla cream pie with my morning coffee. LOL But the balancing for me - I don't think so...ROFLOL
I always have pumpkin pie for breakfast at this time of year after all it has some of the food groups in it - it contains a vegetable full of fiber and there is milk or cream in that pie depending on the way you make it - eggs - protein -- we just won't count all that sugar!

God was just testing your sense of humor!
A good chuckle to start my day!
Because I use Splenda and make a 'crustless' pumpkin pie, I'd said that is the PERFECT breakfast to have with coffee... LOL.
Probably should have had more than one cup of coffee first! LOL And, this time of year pumpkin pie for breakfast is pretty much mandatory. It always tastes better when you're not stuffed full of all the other holiday foods. That's my story anyway.
Pumpkin pie for breakfast is a long standing tradition for me! And I agree with Karen--it's healthy. :-)
As to innate grace, I'm right there with you. I got tangled up in my luggage and fell in the New Orleans airport. And tripped and went splat (and wet my pants!!) on the cobbled sidewalk in Estes Park, CO, and fell down a flight of stairs at a lakeside resort in northern Idaho when I stubbed my toe on the log stairs, and ... well, you get the idea. Oh yeah, and fell and broke my ankle when I stepped on an acorn with the edge of my Dankso clogs on a dark street during a rainstorm.
Are you feeling more coordinated now? :-)
When I was growing up my mother always let us have pie or cake with our breakfast. What is difference between that and a sweet roll or even a piece of toast slathered with jam or jelly?? Besides, pie is just wonderfully decadent!!! Hooray for you, BJ...
