The secret is out!
Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 6:26AM Well that didn’t last long! Judy and Judy (lol) both guessed right… I have ordered the IntelliQuilter for my longarm. I said I wouldn’t, and even thought I really wanted one, I didn’t want to make the investment.
I’ve been doing a lot of machine embroidery lately though, and realized just how much I love it. Jim and I discussed it and agreed that I could take my quilting to a whole new level by going computerized… and for everyday quilting like pantograph’s, save my back and feet.
What started this… I downloaded the demo of Art and Stitch software, which is extremely intuitive for me to use, because it’s very similar to my Bernina embroidery software. When I saw that I could draw, import, or scan and trace a design, and convert it to a format that the IntelliQuilter could then stitch out, I was hooked!
How incredible… I love to make embroidered quilts, and now I will be able to make matching quilt motifs to my designs! I will also be able to import my quilts designed in EQ as background images, and design my quilting right on top of the image! Way cool!
So that’s my secret… I’m on the waiting list for an IntelliQuilter, and hopefully sometime in mid December it will arrive!

Looks like Santa will be delivering an awesome gift this year.
If anyone I know will use it to its fullest and love every minute of it, you're the one! Congratulations! What fun you're going to have.
I thought that was what you might be getting next! It only follows along with everything else that you do so wonderfully!
You are going to LOVE it! I've got one and while for now I quilt maybe 2-3 quilts a year (I know! not right is it??? lol) I can go right back to it and set up a panto with very little trouble. It is so user friendly! I can't wait until I have more time (darn work!) to figure out all it can do. Excited for you!!
Congrats! It will be fun hearing all about this next journey.
So much for CJ keeping a secret!!!
How exciting. I have been drooling over the IQ for years. You will have so much fun. I saw that MQS in May next year will be having several days of classes on the IQ, just FYI.
Sounds like a wonderful Christmas present :) Can't wait to hear more about it!
