Who needs a new sewing machine?

Okay, better question… who doesn’t?  Craft Gossip is giving one away!  Head on over to see how to enter, and I hope you win!

I entered, and if I win it, I will be giving it away as well, because I certainly don’t need another sewing machine (I of course would love another sewing machine, but that’s a whole different ball of wax!) but I know a number of ladies who could certainly use a new sewing machine, the toughest part would be choosing who to give it to!

I guess I’d have to hold a contest too.

What would you do if you won it?

What would I do if I won it?? First of all I'd jump up & down and say something like, "I can't believe I won, I'm just not that lucky." Then I'd start figuring out how to rearrange my sewing room to make room for it. And then I'd go berserk with new projects to start.

What would I do with another machine? Give this one to DD, Kelli, to keep at her house.

Well I would have to first pick my mouth up off the floor for winning anything, let alone a $1300 sewing machine, then I would do a happy dance! No one else I know (personally and close by) really sews, but my cousin is interested in learning, so I believe I would give it to her. I already have 5 sewing machines, one being the Janome 6500, which I LOVE!! So yeah if I won this, it would be given away.

Well Janome is my brand. But . . . I think if I won this Janome I would give it to my mom. She sews on a machine she purchased over 40 years ago. Don't even know what the brand is. But I do know that the Janome will sew circles around it.

Oh my, if I won this wonderful machine - I'd find a new home for little Brother machine that I use for classes and retreats. I would probably give that machine to my DIL. Guess I'll cross my fingers and toes and be prepared to congratulate the lucky winner :-)

Thanks for the tip! If I won it...which would NEVER happen... but if the sky fell and the moon turned blue and I won it, I'd give it to a young person who wants to learn to sew!! We gotta pass this therapy on to the younguns!! :-)

Hmmm, that is a good question. I use a Bernina 440 and have a Janome gem gold for workshops. Love them both and I'm keeping them. There are several ladies around here that want to quilt, but have no means of getting a machine. I imagine it could be set up at church and have classes for a couple at a time and be available on a schedule for them to use.

I would give it to DD2. She is using one of my hand me down machines and I would love to gift her a brand new one. Good luck to both of us!!

If I won this sewing machine I would put it in my sewing room and use it to teach girls from low income families to sew along with me. Who knows, I may end up finding a girl from a low income family (through a school sewing program) and just giving it to her. That would be a wonderful gift!

If I got a new sewing machine I would scream. I do not think that I could even win one. My current sewing machine was bought second hand and only sews for just over thirty minutes at a time. Which really sucks because not only do I sew for fun but I also have to sew for neccessity. I make a large amount of my clothes. A new sewing machine would really make a difference!
