Mmmm...

Now that it’s cooled off a bit outside, I can get back to bread baking!  I can only tolerate store bought bread for just so long, blech!  Give me fresh ground, one hundred percent whole wheat bread any day!

One of my blog readers sent me an email with some wonderful suggestions on making my garage (a.k.a. quilt studio) more cozy without spending a bunch of money on it.  Deb always has fantastic taste, I wish I had half her talent!

Anyway, I decided some rugs would be great, but didn’t want to spend a ton, and I didn’t much care for the more contemporary look of the area rugs at Lowes.  I decided to take a peek and see what JCPenney’s had online, and lo and behold, their braid rugs are 60% off!  That fit nicely into the budget, and I have on order (backorder, but hopefully not too long of a wait) an 8’x11’ oval, a 3’x5’ oval, and a 2’x9’ runner.

Next step will be to make curtains for the windows (I’ll have to see the rugs in place first), and then maybe I’ll get around to covering the shelves.  Deb suggested I sew covers for them, and embroider the contents on them… cute cute cute!

I thought that good smell was coming from the East.

good ideas for the garage/studio - it will make it look more homey/lived in without spending a lot. Curtains across the pantry area will look nice too and separate it more from the sewing area. Have fun!
Bread baking sounds wonderful- a nice day for it.

Hey, I made bread on Monday! Nothing like fall to get bread, soup, and muffins cooking in the kitchen. I don't make bread in the summer either. Somehow I just can't get going on it.

Welcome Autumn!!! (and enjoy that beautiful bread)
