Design wall Monday

Shame on me for even working on something upstairs in my sewing room, when I have two quilts waiting to be quilted downstairs!  I’m actually feeling  a bit quilted out, and so I am going to work on other things for awhile until I get back in the groove again… that is, after I finish those two quilts!

Yesterday I started on a purse, and will finish it up this morning.  This is another “Margo” handbag by Lazy Girl Designs.

I weed whacked and mowed the yard yesterday, and flecked the smoked chickens and made broth which I left to simmer overnight, I’ll let it cool down this morning and then I’ll freeze it.  This afternoon we’re joining a couple of our neighbors and cranking ice cream, I hope it doesn’t get too hot outside!

Head over to Judy’s and see what everyone else is up to this week!

A friend just showed me the Margo bag she made--love it. I always make a larger version of Lazy Girls "the Town purse" but I make it about 2" bigger all around and add the back 1/2 pocket that's on the "City Bag", also a Lazy girl pattern! I call it the burg bag.
I'm going to make Margo soon.
You're fabric is fabulous. I should have someone else pick mine, I always like the fabric choices of others for their bags better than mine.

I get like that about quilting sometimes too - just have to take a break from it now and then.
Nice morning but I think our cool spell is about over.

I know what you mean about being 'quilted out'. I can sew for hours and days at a time like it's oxygen then, poof, the mood is gone and I don't work on anything for a week.

Hand cranked Ice cream! YUM!

That is one of the great things about quilting as a hobby because you can shop, or cut fabric, or piece or applique, or quilt by hand or machine...there is a task to suit every mood!
