A finish

Not my best work, I quilted this slowly over the last few days, but I’ve been rather sick with the stomach flu.  I thought for sure I would wake up feeling fine today finally, but I’m still sick.  Ugh!  Jim and I are supposed to go pick up the Miata this afternoon at four o’clock, which means we’ll need to leave the house around two thirty.

I used the “Harvest Winds” pantograph by Patrici Ritter on this one.  You can see the computer image in my leaves and flowers panto gallery, towards the end of the page.

The top is rather busy and the quilting gets easily lost.  This is a rather dense design.  I chose a variegated King Tut thread in khaki green shades.  Sounds terrible I know, but it blends beautifully.  Or maybe I just thought it did because I feel so awful.

The image over on the right is a hundred percent crop, so you could see both the design and the thread color.

I have my Bernina 630 packed up along with all my pink and green fabrics for the toddler quilt, which I’ve already cut out with my AccuQuilt Studio… on the off chance that I’m going to feel well enough to join my quilting group for an all day sew in.  Not looking likely at the moment!

I’m pretty sure my sewing machine is going to have to be strapped into the passenger seat in the Miata.  The Bernina suitcase for it is very well padded with ample storage space, and I don’t think it’s going to quite fit into the trunk… but here’s hoping!

I put my 630, in her black luggage piece, in the back seat of the pickup, actually use the seatbelt through the suitcase handle and she's always been safe.

Who doesn't love your Chocolat - in any color or flavor? Beautiful!!

sorry to hear you are still feeling sick - I hope it is nothing going around this area I sure don't want to get it! Hope you are well enough to attend tomorrow but totally understand if you are not.
Have fun with the new car but sounds like you will be doing more test driving next week and spend the rest of the week recovering!

You are the pantograph queen! I heard it is a hard craft to master and you do it beautifully. I think it looks fantastic, job well done.

I hope you feel better soon!

Sorry to hear that you are sick. It is going around here in the Phoenix area as well. Also upper respiratory virus, too.

I usually strap my machine in a seat belt and i have an SUV! I've had my machines fall over as I turn the corner.

The quilt is very nice, lady. Hopefully you will make it to the group gathering. They have them at my quilt shop but I have never gone.

So sorry you've been sick! Not fun at all.

The quilt is absolutely gorgeous!! And it's all your work--from pattern to quilting to binding. It truly is lovely and I hope when you're feeling better you'll look at it with a huge smile. :-)

I'm sorry you've been sick...I recently had a similar illness that lasted so long! Every morning I thought I'd wake up and feel better and didn't. So sad!

I love this quilt, the prints and that pattern. I think you did a beautiful job. My sister and I have a blog Quiltstory where we feature other's quilts and we'd love to feature this one. Let me know if you're interested!

Green is definitely not my favorite color, but I think this thread you chose is perfect for this quilt, Judy -- and the quilt turned out so well! As for strapping your 630 into the front seat, why not? ;) It's a valuable member of your "family", after all. I used to strap mine into the back seat of my previous car, but now I'll be strapping it down in the back of my Prius when I take it to my "event" tomorrow. :)

I think it turned out great -- passed your house 2x and guess it was better I didn't stop as you're still sick and I don't need it LOL
Feel better soon --

The quilt is beautiful, I love the pattern and fabrics, hope you feel better soon. We already have some "stuff" going around school and of course I caught it and missed 2 days but am now on the mend.

Your choice of thread looks perfect as always. I'm so sorry the thread matches your skin tone now... I HATE stomach illness! UGH!! But picking up your new baby must make you feel a bit better!! :-)

You are way to hard on yourself!!! That quilt will look wonderful in my Victorian guest bedroom if you think it's that awful.... LOL!!!

Just wondering if you went to your group today or are you still under the weather?
