Couldnt have planned it better if I tried!
Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 12:22PM I had my appointment with the foot doctor this morning. Remember a couple of weeks ago when I said I felt something snap on the bottom of my foot, the pain was nasty and then a few days later I had a bulging muscle on the side of my foot?
I did indeed tear the plantar fascia muscle free from my heel. But, I managed to do it just right! The doc said that I tore it exactly in the right spot, mimicking the surgery that was looming up on me. Apparantly they cut the muscle where mine tore. So now I just have to be careful while it’s healing, continue my excercises, and wear good shoes, and I should be fine! LOL
I’ve been dragging my feet on finishing up the blue/brown quilt on my longarm, although I am nearly done with it. Motivation arrived today in the form of a customer dropping off a baby quilt for me to do, so I guess now I have to finish the quilt eh?
My quilt group meets for dinner and then our meeting afterwards, which I always look forward to. I’ll take my camera!

Good news for sure!! How are those Birkies working out? I've been living in a pair of Columbia flip flops (very study ones!) and my hips, knees and feet have been very happy. Hmm, wonder how they'll look with socks?!? LOL
I'm thinking you're probably quilting away while I'm writing this--hope you're having fun.
So now that's you've done the surgery yourself, did DR A give you a discount for the time you saved HIM ?? LOL
I'm still working on my 'update' of my skills, stopping now cuz thunder and wanna work on quilt rows --
Doug's starting home today and will be home by tomorrow .. so sew tonight cuz I won't get any more time for a few days ! LOL

How lucky were you on that foot? Hope it heals nicely and your pain is gone soon.
Sounds like you accidentally saved yourself the cost of surgery. Way to go!!
