Design Wall Monday
Monday, August 2, 2010 at 5:28AM
I only have a little bit up for this week, and won’t have anything new next week as Jim and I are headed to the APQS factory bright and early tomorrow morning.
This is going to be another toddler quilt. It doesn’t do a whole lot for me, but will make a nice quilt to have on hand for either a boy or a girl next time Jim tells me he needs a baby quilt in a week for a co-worker!
I’ll be making a trip to the grocery store for a few last minute items for our trip, and we need to fill the truck tanks and the generator tanks (just in case, we never haul the RV without it), otherwise we generally keep the RV packed and ready to go at all times (not that we go much anymore).
I am going to grill some hot dogs and italian sausages and toss them in the RV fridge for easy reheating in the microwave, since I’m not taking a grill along this trip.
We’ll be staying (hopefully, if our honkin’ huge RV will fit) at Swan Lake State Park. It’s only a 30 amp park, so we will only be able to run one a/c unit, but it’s only in the upper 80’s there so if we can park in shade that should be plenty.
Head over to Judy’s and see what everyone else is up to this Design Wall Monday, and I’ll see ya’ll in a week!

Be safe. Don't forget the camera!
Isn't it awful to have the RV and not get to go as often as you would like? We don't get to go as often either but when we do, I am in heaven. Every quilt we make does not have to hit our hearts but must make us happy to be sewing and creating. That quilt will indeed make a wonderful gift to a new mom.
I love the quilt and think you are pretty smart to stock up on baby quilts. :-) Our RV has not seen the light of day for quite a while. She is parked in the shop. I keep saying it's time for a road trip but other life happens to prevent it.
Have fun at the factory. Take pictures to share.
Have a great week, CJ & Jim! I'm sure the APQS factory will be wonderful!
I like the quilt & also think its great to get one done just in case...the genericness(?) of it is good, it could go to either boy or girl.

have a good trip. I'm betting you will love the training and come home with even more ideas and better ways to use your machine. One can never have too many baby quilts. I wish I had stock piled some to have on hand - now I can't catch up and decided not to try. Let us know how you like the state park - I might have to put it on our one day list.

We took off Friday afternoon, only 90 miles away, and even with the severe rain, flash floods and terribly storms, we had a fun time.
Temps were in 60s and 70s and everyone was just happy. There were small breaks in the rain where we played on quads.
Have fun on your trip. I like the new baby quilt.
How nice to have some togetherness time. It's been a while! Have a wonderful trip and learn lots!
oh Congrats! And safe travels. It will be fun to hear all about your new 'toy' when you get back!
Pretty toddler quilt so far! Sounds like you have your RV outings dialed in.
Have a marvelous time! I can't wait to get back to our RV! :)
Have a fun, relaxing and safe trip!
Sorry I didn't make it over Sunday -- Doug needed the truck and he drove me to work today, took me to lunch AND picked me up tonight .. did you get my pix of the quilt ? I'll catch you on the flip side after you get back. Be safe !
love your quilt!
I like the blue and green. It's great that you are able to get a baby quilt made to have on hand. Have a fun and safe trip!
