Sunshine?

Yeah, lots of that in Arkanas, hot hot hot! But I’m referring to my monkey quilt. Do I need to piece a sun block and put it in the upper left corner? It’d be big, a 12 inch block, as my “groupings” are all 12 inches.
It’s starting to come together, although at this point all the individual blocks and pieces are just stuck to my design wall. I’ll get the center layed out and then design the border.
I spent the wee hours watering, it’s so dry here we are burning up! Made a pot of beans and sausage (to become beans and rice tonight) and tossed it in the crockpot, my goal today is to finish quilting Jim’s Cappuccino quilt. I got about halfway through it yesterday.

I think this is so stinkin' adorable.......almost makes me want another baby! NOT!! I say no on the sun block...unless it has a super cute monkey in it.
Colors are wonderful. At this point in the design, I do not think that a sun would add anything.
That is ridiculously cute!!!!
I am already bitching that it is going to start getting hot this weekend and we are only expecting high 80's. ROFLMAO!!!!! I don't think I would make it where you are.
That monkey quilt is soo cute and adorable! I don't think a big sun would add anything--might even detract. Its great with just the monkeys and pinwheels. Is there a sun in the designs?
Hot here, too--3rd month of high 90's...might cool down to high 80's this weekend.

This quilt is really adorable, CJ! I don't think you need a pieced sun, but if you like the idea of a sun, perhaps you could quilt one in?
The quilt is going to be so cute. I'm not seeing a big sun block in it. It will pull the eye away from all the other cute things going on.
