Headed to Missouri
Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 6:11AM I plan on walking out the door at 6:30 this morning, so I can be at my Bernina dealer in Springfield Missouri by ten o’clock to have my 830 serviced. Then it’s a mad dash across town to the other Bernina dealer where I am, at long last, going to be measured for the Bernina My Label software!
I’ve had it for three years or so, or since whenever it was released, but I haven’t had any luck with Jim or my Mom measuring me.
After that I plan a trip to Haiks, which sells bolts of fabric (wholesale only). I hope to find some wide backing fabrics for the longarm. I’m going to try really, really hard to behave myself there, and not come home a boatload of fabric bolts. That’s why I’m driving the car up and not the truck! LOL
I’m hoping they get finished with my sewing machine early, as I’d really like to be headed back down to Arkansas by one o’clock, otherwise I start to fall asleep at the wheel.
If I buy anything, I’ll post pictures tomorrow!

It sounds like a fun day CJ. I would love to be wide backing shopping with you! I'm getting so spoiled with those wide backings! I can hardly bring myself to piece a backing anymore. :o)
Oh my! You can NOT fall asleep while driving!!!! That is always my biggest fear when I drive a distance. I used to have a business and do all of the quilt shows. But it got to where I was stressing over how long of a drive vs. how long I worked so I was sure of not falling asleep. Then I would drink so much caffiene by the time I did arrive home I was wired and couldn't sleep.
If you get tired just sing to yourself about the wonderful Bernie in the back seat and the fabric in the trunk! :)
I love wide backings and use them whenever I can. Have a fun day but do not envy you the long drive on hwy 7. What is the measuring you for software about? LOL do not understand :)
